First Responder Training and Preparation

SWAT 1

Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) training provides new SWAT officers the opportunity to learn basic tactical operations theory and develop a level of proficiency in common SWAT operations. The course provides officer's with a solid foundation of basic SWAT concepts and operations.

 

Class will cover:

Individual Team Movement

Dynamic Team Movement

Dynamic Entry Techniques

Slow & Deliberate Team Movement

Breaching, Rake and Break Techniques

Barricade Subject Procedures and Techniques

Perimeter Deployment & Arrest Team Tactics

Less Lethal Options

K9 Deployment and Usage

Warrant Service Techniques

Surround & Callout

Dynamic Warrant Service

Slow & Deliberate Warrant Execution

 

Officers will be exposed to numerous high stress, dynamic force on force scenarios utilizing tactics and techniques taught throughout the weeklong class. Scenarios may also be video and various Human Performance issues will be discussed during these training evolutions.

 

SWAT 2

The course focuses primarily on Hostage Rescue Fundamentals and Principles. Students will learn dynamic room clearing, distraction device deployment, mechanical breaching, planning, stealth probe to contact and breach points. The class will enhance principles learned in SWAT 1 and introduce the students to new principles and tactics to allow them to be more skilled operators.

 

Advanced SWAT is an intense 5-day program. It is designed with an emphasis on practical "hands-on" application.

Covered Pile Tactics

Vehicle Assaults

Sniper Initiated Assaults
